Cafe 16
Our Bakery & Cafe Project
We operate a Bakery inside HMP Northumberland that trains prionsers in Bakery and food industry qualifications. We also run Cafe 16 in Newcastle Cathedral, which uses fresh bread and other baked goods made in the Prison.
Inside & Out
Landscaping & Gardening Project
Inside & Out is our Northumberland-based social enterprise that employs prison leavers to provide professional and affordable services for estate and landowners in the North East, while also undertaking small free-of-charge projects for the vulnerable in our society.
Farming Out
Our farm picking project
The ‘Farming it Out’ campaign is aimed at people leaving prison or those on a Temporary Licence. It targets business owners who recognise the importance of rehabilitation and the potential for people from prison to fill in the gaps in the agricultural industry.
Growing Out
Our MARKET GARDEN & FARM SHOP
The Oswin Project Market Garden in HMP Northumberland empowers prisoners through horticulture training. To prevent waste, we are opening a farm shop to sell high-quality plants, fresh produce, and artisanal food and beverages. Surplus food is donated to Amble food bank
The Shop is open Wednesday to Friday 11am to 4pm
