We are currently developing our range of Pies & Quiches made by serving prisoners at HMP Northumberland. By purchasing from Baking Out, you will support the rehabilitation of individuals in the criminal justice system while enjoying high-quality, handcrafted goods.

We run Cafe 16 in Newcastle Cathedral. Our cafe menu features a variety of delicious sandwiches, soups, salads, and sweet treats, all made with the finest ingredients, including the bread and pastries from our prison bakery.
Our cafe is open Monday to Saturday 10am to 4pm

Our PRISON BASED Bakery & Cafe
We operate a Bakery inside HMP Northumberland that trains prisoners in bakery and food industry qualifications. The cafe serves staff and visitors to the prison, and the bakery produces goods for our other enterprises.

Changing the Cycle is our bike shop located at HMP Northumberland, providing skilled employment for prison leavers. We offer expert servicing, repairs, and affordable second-hand bikes, while promoting sustainability and empowering individuals to build a positive future.
The Shop is open Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm
Growing Out
Our MARKET GARDEN & FARM SHOP
The Oswin Project Market Garden in HMP Northumberland empowers prisoners through horticulture training. To prevent waste, in the summer of 2023 we opened a farm shop to sell high-quality plants, fresh produce, and artisanal food and beverages. Surplus food is donated to Amble food bank
The Shop is open Wednesday to Friday 11am to 2.30pm

Landscaping & Gardening Project
Inside & Out is our Northumberland-based social enterprise that employs prison leavers to provide professional and affordable services for estate and landowners in the North East, while also undertaking small free-of-charge projects for the vulnerable in our society.
