Changing the Cycle is open 10am to 4pm Tuesday to Friday
Our bike shop offers a range of services, including bike servicing and repairs, as well as the sale of high-quality second-hand bikes. We are committed to providing exceptional maintenance and ensuring that every bike leaves our shop in top condition.
The shop is staffed by a qualified, experienced and skilled manager, working with prisoners on day release from HMP Northumberland and dedicated volunteers. All (staff members) the team will receive comprehensive training to the Velotech Gold standard, ensuring that our customers receive excellent service and expertise.
In the future, we plan to expand our operation by establishing a workshop in the prison. This workshop will focus on recycling and refurbishing bikes, which will then be sold to the public at reasonable prices through our shop. Our aim is to reduce waste, promote sustainability, and provide skills and experience to those involved in the project.
